Funeral services for Grace Reynolds Wall, age 72, of the Redland Community west of Centerville were held Sunday morning, November 1, 2009, at 10:30 A.M. at the Redland Baptist Church. Rev. Brent Williams officiated at the services and interment followed in the Wall Family Cemetery at the Wall Ranch.
Grace Wall was born January 3, 1937 to Milton and Annie Reynolds. She was reared in the Elwood Community of Madison County. She was a graduate of the Madisonville High School. Grace lived in Leon County since 1954 and was a homemaker and a rancher. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and they loved her too. She enjoyed sewing, doing charity work for her church, Redland Baptist Church, and painting in oil paints. She loved being outdoors, bird watching and enjoying the wildflowers of which she knew many by their scientific name. She lived on the family cattle ranch and worked cattle along with her husband and children. Grace Wall will be remembered as a faithful and loving wife and mother and as a beautiful woman inside and out. She lived and reared her children with her strong Christian principals. Her faith was tested many times during her life, especially with the tragic loss of her son Len and the unexpected death of her son John Mark. Her faith was tested the most during her illness which she dealt with in a very positive manner, always believing that she would win the fight with her disease. After a courageous battle with cancer, she died Friday morning, October 30, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her husband and children. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Len Wall and John Mark Wall and a sister, Beth Spiller.
