Eighteen wheelers crash on I-45

Two big rigs tangled on I-45 Wednesday morning, blocking southbound traffic for several hours.

The accident occured at 8:09 a.m. on October 28. A 2002 yellow Kenworth driven by Chester Jones out of Prior, Oklahoma, was following a blue Freightliner driven by Roberto Molina in the right lane of traffic. Just north of Centerville, the car in front of Molina was braking and Molina applied his brakes as well. The Kenworth struck the rear of the unit Molina was towing.

Mr. Jones was life-flighted to Tyler, and Molina taken by ambulance to Madisonville Hospital.
