Oakwood ISD schools held Open House on Thursday night. There was a good turn out. Parents and students met in the cafeteria for a welcoming speech made by Superintendent Richard Scoggin. Funeral services for Larry Wayne Burroughs, age 54, will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at 2:00p.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home. Bro. James Engle will officiate. BHS’ volleyball season wrapped up last Tuesday night when the Lady Bison played in New Waverly. The Lady Bison went down in a four set match to the playoff bound Lady Bulldogs. Centerville will represent 21AA as the first seed. Anderson- Shiro and New Waverly tied for second, but the Lady Owls of Anderson- Shiro won the playoff Saturday to earn the second seed.  More...
