Lady Tigers: Champions of District 21-AA

Paul’s Photo The Centerville Lady Tigers defeated Groveton and Buffalo to clinch the district championship with a perfect 13-0 mark and a season record of 38-1. Their only loss was to Salado in an early season tournament game.

The Tigers hosted Groveton on October 20 and the five seniors on the team were recognized. They are Raimey Griffin, Leanne Jones, Kelsey Lagrone, Sarah Mutschler, and Brittany Thomas. The game itself was dominated by the Tigers as they won 25-5, 25-7, and 25- 14.

Paul’s Photo The Tigers traveled to Buffalo on October 23rd and swept the Bison in three games 25-15, 25-10, and 25- 13. The games were much more competitive and the Bison put up a determined fight.

The Tigers travel to Anderson for a match on October 27th to wrap up their regular season. They will play a warm-up game before beginning the playoffs on November 2nd and 3rd.

Congratulations, Lady Tigers on a fantastic year- -and it’s not over yet. The junior varsity and freshmen teams also had a great year.
