This was homecoming for Centerville and the team played with added intensity. Clay Hardee opened the scoring for Centerville on a 1 yard plunge with 5:33 left in the opening quarter. Josh Wright added the extra point and Centerville had a 7-0 lead after one quarter. Less than one minute into the second quarter Seth Mahaffey bolted 47 yards for the second touchdown, but the two point conversion failed. Eight minutes later Jonathan Cloud added to the lead as he sprinted in from the 14-yard line. The extra point by Wright was good and Centerville had a 20-0 advantage as the first half ended. During the halftime ceremonies Raimey Griffin was crowned homecoming queen.
