Teresa Kay Keahey

Teresa Kay Keahey, 65, of Texas City passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009, in Texas City.

Graveside funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, at Buffalo City Cemetery in Buffalo, Texas, under the direction of Emken-Linton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Keahey was born September 7, 1955 in Texas City, Texas. She was a graduate of Texas City High School and a former resident of Nashville, Tennessee. She received her degree as a paralegal and graduated first in her class. Before leaving Nashville to return to Texas City in order to care for her mother, she worked at a veterinarian clinic. She was very passionate about animals. She loved to dance especially with her father. Her family was very important to her. She devoted the last five years of her life to her mother. She loved her children dearly; they were the most important thing to her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Earnestine Featherston.

Survivors include her son, Todd Keahey of Texas City, TX; her daughter, Danyelle Lindisch of Nashville, TN; her aunts and uncles, Geraldine and Raymond Phillips, Vela and Cyril Garland, Dorotha and Kennard Bessire and Judy and George Abraham.
