Leon County 4-H teams judge livestock

Contributed photo This past Sunday October 11, 2009, the Leon County 4-H Livestock judging team participated at the State Fair of Texas in the livestock judging contest. We came out with one senior team and three junior teams! Our Junior Teams placed 21st, 27th, and 28th and our Senior Team placed 41st. Some of our outstanding members were Cody Oden for the juniors placing 39 out of 118 individuals and for seniors Trevor Tadlock placing 30th out of 224! In the species, Layne Pfannenstiel placed 22nd out of 118, Ridge Hargrove placed 34th, and Brittany Beggs placed 37th out of 118 in the sheep. For the beef category Cody Oden placed 29th and Brittany Beggs placed 46th out of 118. Seniors who excelled in species were Trevor Tadlock placing 47th out of 224 in the beef, and 47th in sheep.
