Frances Crenshaw
Frances Hazel Crenshaw, age 91, passed away on October 7, 2009 at her home at the Colonial Oaks Assisted Living in Houston, Texas. Her funeral services were held at 2 PM, Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Walters Funeral Home Chapel in Centerville, Texas. Rev. Joy Richards, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Centerville, officiated and the burial was in the Concord Cemetery west of Centerville.
Frances was born in Jewett on August 18, 1918. Her parents, who preceded her in death, were Emmitt and Dora (Crowder) Williams. She grew up in Jewett and then went to Houston where she lived approximately 74 years. She was a Methodist and was retired as an engineer for Standard Oil Company which later became Chevron.
Surviving family includes two daughters, Gail Fisher of North Carolina and Monna Dudensing of Houston; a sister, Jewel Simons and her husband, Gene Simons of Casper, Wyoming; four grandchildren, Lance Janicek, Lisa Turner, April Ryan and Paige Miller and five great grandchildren, Brace Ryan, Molly Ryan, Jacob Turner, Reagan Miller and Chela Janicek.
Pallbearers were Chris Ryan, Steve Oliver, Keith Bobbitt, Paul Belinowski, Kenneth Isbell and John Williams.
Walters Funeral Home in Centerville was in charge of all arrangements.
