Earnestine Featherston

Earnestine Featherston, 86, formerly of Texas City, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009, at Regent Care Center in League City.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 1, at the Buffalo City Cemetery under the direction of Emken-Linton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Featherston was born September 14, 1923 in Buffalo, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church in Texas City. She enjoyed playing games and visiting with her friends at the Pioneer Club in Texas City. She loved being surrounded by her family and doing things for other people. She was a wonderful caregiver to all her older friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Claude Featherston.

Survivors include her daugher Teresa Keahey; grandchildren Danyelle Lindisch and Todd Keahey; sisters and brothers-in-law: Geraldine Phillips and husband Raymond, Vela Garland and husband Cyril, Dorothy Bessire and husband Kennard, and Judy Abraham and husband George; sister-in-law Bess Finn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Tommy Featherston, Joe Featherston, Greg Garland, Ronnie Bessire and Randy Bessire.
