Game two of the Oakwood Junior High Panther football season may have started off slow, but remember: Slow and steady wins the race. Damiyne Durham scored a touchdown off a kick return to start off the game. Myua Abram got the next TD. The game was tied at 13 at the half. Turnovers were stalling progress.
When they came back after halftime, the Panthers turned the corner. A spark ignited and they burned up the field. Abram picked up two more rushing touchdowns allowing Oakwood to break away. Durham had the best defensive game of the night. With his lead, the Badgers were held at bay and denied access to their endzone for the remainder of the game. The final score was 26-13. This puts the junior high football team at 2/0.
