C’ville Lady Tigers win two games this week

Paul’s Photo The Centerville Lady Tigers defeated Corrigan- Camden 25-8, 25-10, and 25- 16 in a district match up and traveled to West and defeated them 25-22, 25-15, and 25-21 to push their season record to 28-1. Their only loss was to Salado in a tournament game early in the season.

On September 15th the Tigers hosted Corrigan-Camden and won the 1st game easily 25-8. The Tigers started slowly in the 2nd game and fell behind 1-5 when Coach Crafton called time out to rethink and regroup. The pep talk worked and the Tigers went on a 15-3 run to break the game open and lead 16-8. They cruised in and won 25- 10. The Tigers leaped to a 5-0 advantage and weren’t threatened and won the 3rd game easily 25-15.

The Tigers traveled to West on September 18th in a non-district contest and won 3 games 25-22, 25-15, and 25-21.

Stats for the Tigers against West: Jill Griffin 4 kills 3 blocks, 9 digs, 2 aces; LeAnne Jones 16 kills, 8 blocks; Kelsey Lagrone 11 digs; Sarah Mutschler 15 assists, 6 kills; Taylor Sullivan 13 assists

The Tigers travel to Trinity on September 22nd and go to Groveton on September 26th in district games this week.
