Roy Thomas Baldwin

Funeral services for Roy Thomas Baldwin, age 64 of Buffalo, were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2009 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Interment followed in the Centerville Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home in Centerville was in charge of all arrangements.

Roy Thomas Baldwin was born on March 4, 1945 in Houston, Texas to Richard & Annie Mae (Melcer) Baldwin. He had lived in Leon County for the past 24 years and worked as a truck driver. Mr. Baldwin was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He loved the outdoors and working with the cows on his ranch. Mr. Baldwin especially loved to fish. His two dogs, Mazzie and Mattie held a special place in his heart. He passed away on September 9, 2009 in Crockett following a lengthy battle with cancer. Mr. Baldwin is preceded in death by both of his parents and his daughter, Susan Baldwin.

Survivors include his wife, Amelia Baldwin of Buffalo; daughters Sandra Lewis of Sweeny, Texas and Katrina Robertson & husband, Ryan of Houston; grandchildren, Brandi & Briana Lewis, Sara Barber and Sierra, Ryan, Cheyenne & Chelsea Robertson ; three sisters; aunts, Eloise, Laura & Nita and his special “furry” companions, Mazzie and Mattie.
