DAR present painting to grace county courtroom
      The courtroom in the Leon County Annex Building will be enhanced after this week by the addition of a large painting presented by the Colonel George Dashiell Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution.) AARP to meet in Civic Center
      The September meeting of the Buffalo Chapter of AARP will be Tuesday the 15th. Come before lunch to the Buffalo Civic Center for fun, fellowship and food. Martin Housler, director of the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, will speak on the history of the Buffalo Stampede. Members--Be sure and bring your donations for the AARP booth at the Stampede!!

Oakwood Cub Scouts to hold rally
      Oakwood Cub Scout Pack 610 will be holding its annual rally Thursday, September 10 at 6:00pm in the school cafeteria. This rally will benefit boys in grades first through the fifth. It is open to any boy this age. The District Executive of the Comanche Trails District will be coming from the Longhorn Council to assist the Cub Master in speaking to the boys.
