      North Creek Baptist Church will enroll AWANA Clubbers Sept. 9, 2009, in the church’s family life center. Enrollment will be from 6:15 to 7:30 pm. AWANA is a Bible based program for children 3 years old through high school. Parents, please bring your child to the church on FM 3178 to enroll.

      Is everybody ready? The AWANA year starts on Wednesday September 9th at 6:15 P.M. and it starts with a weiner roast and registration. All parents are invited to come and enjoy the festivities and get the kids off to a good start. Last year there were a lot of kids that learned a lot about Jesus and about His salvation.

Fifth Quarter is back!

      The Bison Booster Club, in conjunction with local churches, will be hosting a "Fifth Quarter" party for teens after every BHS home game this season. Celebration Church hosted the first "Fifth Quarter" on Friday night, and it was well attended and a lot of fun.

      This week has been exciting with all the new activities. I did not realize that almost everyday is a national something day. It is amazing that almost everything has its own time to be celebrated. We honored all poets on the first of this month. We drank punch and read poetry while we ate our popcorn.

College night planned for September 14th
      Buffalo High is hosting its annual College Night for juniors and seniors and parents on Monday, September 14, at 7 p.m. The event will take place in the high school auditorium and cafeteria. Dana Morris, Academic Services Coordinator, will speak to parents about application deadlines, testing requirements for college, and financial aid.
