Paul’s Photos The football season in Centerville kicked off at 6:00p.m. August 27 against the Grapeland Sandies. It was a bright and hot evening and both teams appeared to have the first game jitters as many penalties were called.

The Sandies kicked off and the Tigers couldn’t move and had to punt. Both teams struggled in the first quarter and most of the second quarter and couldn’t get any offense going. With 20 seconds remaining in the second quarter quarterback Cort Harris found Aaron Wolcott behind the secondary and lofted a beautiful pass that Wolcott caught in the end zone. Cody Cameron tacked on the extra point and the Tigers let 7-0 at the half.

Wolcott intercepted a pass in the third quarter to stop a Sandie drive and the quarter ended with the Tigers on top 7-0.

The Tigers dominated the 4th quarter and scored 2 more times and won 20-0.
