BHS sub-varsity volley ball teams split with Palestine

Van’Go’photo The Lady Bison volleyball teams hit the road for nondistrict action in Palestine last Tuesday. The two sub varsity teams split with the Lady Wildcats in three set matches.

The ninth grade Lady Bison picked up the win 25-14, 21- 25, 25-13. Raven Lott led the scoring for the Lady Bison. Ana Lopez and Dalila Rendon served for eight points each while Courtney Dudley served for seven. Kylen Armstrong added five. Ashlin Smith served for four points, and Chelsea Varner tallied three.

The junior varsity Lady Bison struggled with the Lady Wildcats, winning only the second set of the three set match. Palestine won 6-25 before Buffalo won 25-19. The Lady Wildcats took the third tie breaker 5-25.

Reagan Read served for eight points and Heather Sigert served for five to lead the Lady Bison. Emily Grissett served for three points. Laken McCabe and Tionna Adams each served for two points.
