Wright joins BHS Special Education staff

Special Ed teacher Sheryl Wright Special Ed teacher Sheryl Wright Sheryl Wright has joined the special education department at Buffalo High School, coming to Buffalo from Mexia ISD where she taught at the elementary school for the past twelve years. Asked to name her strong suite in the classroom, Wright considered and responded, “I am patient, and I think that’s important with these kids.”

Wright is a native of Mesquite, graduating from North Mesquite High School and then attending Lubbock Christian College (now University) where she earned a BA in Social Work in 1980. She lat- er added a teaching certification.

Mrs. Wright and her husband Robin, who is the new minister at the Church of Christ in Buffalo, have three daughters: Stacey, Jennifer and Brandy. Sheryl is also quick to brag about their three grandkids, Tyler, Ayden and Zachary.

In addition to playing with grandkids, and being very involved with her church family, Sheryl lists reading as a favorite hobby, and especially enjoys mysteries. Her favorite author is Mary Higgins Clark.
