Juanita L. Bunting

Funeral services for Juanita Lorene Bunting, age 89, of Buffalo were held at 10 AM, Monday, August 10, 2009 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Centerville. Pastor Trey Rienstra officiated. Graveside services and burial were that afternoon at 2:30PM at Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery in Houston.

Juanita was born September 28, 1919 in Ector, Texas to Fletcher D. and Ione (Ford) Frazier. Juanita met Bill Bunting in Dallas in 1947 and they married on March 17, 1948. Juanita and Bill moved to Houston in 1949 where he worked for a construction company. While in Houston, Juanita worked several years in the Home Center at Weingarten’s. Bill and Juanita moved to Buffalo, Texas in December 1975. Juanita liked to fish and she enjoyed traveling. Her husband and family were the center of her life. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Centerville. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband of 61 years, Bill Bunting; brothers, Roy, Pete, J.D., Billy C., Joe and Hubert and sister, Vergie.

She is survived by her sons, Curtis Garner of Ratliff and Billy J. Garner of Houston; daughter, Connie Ferguson and her husband, Jerry, of Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bill Garner, Charles Garner, Chris Ferguson, Jerry Ferguson, Jr., John Garner and Mike Garner. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Ferguson, Sr. and Curtis Garner.

In lieu of flowers Bill’s family requests that memorials be given to Our Savior Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 505, Centerville, Texas 75833.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville is in charge of arrangements.
