The Oakwood Education Extension League gave it's annual Welcome Back Luncheon to the O.I.S.D. teachers and staff on Friday. This civic minded education club has been honoring the teachers and staff of the Oakwood school system with this luncheon for more than five years.
The luncheon was held in the school cafeteria and the ladies of the EE Club put out a big spread for the teachers and staff to enjoy. There were so many desserts to choose from, that teachers and staff jokingly said they felt obligated to pick more than one.
The tables were decorated
with candies and various school supplies. The EE Club announced that the teachers were to take the supplies back to their classrooms to hand out to students as needed. The EE Club has made a tradition of donating school supplies each year.
The EE Club will hold several such special events throughout the year to honor those in the education system at O.I.S.D.
