Normangee’s Whitley Reed shows improvement

After surviving a tremendous electrical shock on August 13, while raising a flag pole with his brothers, Normangee senior Whitley Reed is home from the hospital and expected to begin school soon.

Based on a report from KBTX in Bryan, last week’s Buffalo Press stated that Reed lost his little toe due to the accident. However, Normangee ISD Superintendent Jerry Burger reported that the toe was saved.

Whitley’s brother Brian, lost his life as a result of the incident and younger brother Collin was not injured.
