Harold Kirk Watson
Harold Kirk Watson, 69, of Flynn passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 at his home. Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Flynn Baptist Church. Bro. Ross Newton officiated the funeral and burial was followed at the Bethesda Cemetery. The visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Cozart Funeral Home.
Harold was born in Bryan, Texas to Riley Kirk Watson and Inez Green Watson on December 8, 1939. He was the last class to graduate from Marque High School in 1958. He was an active member in his community and helped anyone who needed it. Harold was in charge of maintaining the records for the Bethesda Cemetery, and was a member of the Flynn Baptist Church. He formed a passion for woodworking later in life and was a merry prankster to all who needed a laugh. Kirk, as most knew him, was a family man and when he married Peggy he fell in love with the eight grandchildren that he got to be a kid again with. Harold was adored by all who met this boot-scooting man with the big heart.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Riley Kirk and Inez (Green) Watson, and his grandparents Jake and Cindy Watson; Phil and Buelah Green.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Watson of Flynn; one son Danny Kirk Watson of Flynn; three step- daughters Traci Lynne Lewis of Hilltop Lakes, Wende Rickett of Greeley Col., and Lisa Fuller of Greer SC.; one sister Melva McDonald of College Station; one very special friend Curtis Hodges of Bangelist dera; one grandchildren Clinton Kirk Watson; eight stepgrandchildren Kevin Lewis; Raeslan Dikeman; Hailey, Abby, and Zoey Rickett; Noah, Seth, and Eli Fuller.
