Bradford Ray Bing

Bradford Ray Bing, 41, was born on May 15, 1968 in San Antonio, Texas and passed away on July 31, 2009. His parents were Paulette and the late Charlie Ray Bing. He attended Buffalo schools for 13 years where he was active in numerous activities. A member of the Bison Marching Band during grades 7-12, he also played JH, JV, and Varsity football. He was a member of 4-H and FFA and The Texas and American Brahman Associations.

Upon graduating from BHS in 1986, he moved on to Blinn Junior College and became a member of the Marching Buccaneer Band. After transferring to Texas A&M, he was a member of the Ag Systems Club. He graduated in 1993 with a degree in Agriculture Systems Management. He was a member of the Texas A&M Former Students Association. He participated in dormitory intramurals and became 110% Aggie!

Most recently, a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Brad was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Buffalo where he was a member of the youth choir and the First Baptist Church of Palestine where he was a member of the adult choir. A citizen of Buffalo, Texas, Brad was employed by R-Construction.

Bradford Ray loved life! His main interests were singing, playing golf, and snow skiing. He was proud of the fact that he had visited all 48 continental U.S. States. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Ray Bing; grandmother, Bernardine Reeder Hawes; and grand-fathers Bradford Lee Bing, Ernest T. Newman, and Wilbur Paul Hawes.

He is survived by his mother, Paulette Hawes Bing, his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Trena Bing, nieces Alison and Tana; nephews Cole and Cade all of Buffalo, TX, grand-mother Mary Newman of Palestine, TX., aunts and uncles, Janice Hawes Daniel and husband, David, Sheila Hawes Richards and husband, Bud, Patricia Hawes Egbert and husband, Alan, Sheila Ray Newman Parrish; and special extended family members, Juan, Nena, Angeles, Iris, and Zahori Vallez.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Morris officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood City Cemetery. Walters Buffalo Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers were David Fondren, Tim Ezell, Shaine Reeder, Zak Taylor, Todd Richards, Brent Reeder, Darroll Reeder, Danny Reeder, Brandon Bing, Bret Richards, Gene Pruitt, and Tom Hall. The honorary pallbearers were Joey Rodell, Sonny West, Brian Freeman, Tom Davis, Charlie Waters, Joe Brewer, Ralph Reed, Ed Phillips, Brent Bing, Weldon Allbritton, Bill Frison, Glenn Castles, and Buddy Spikes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Bradford Ray Bing Scholarship Fund at the Community National Bank and Trust of Texas, P.O. Box 1570, Buffalo, Texas 75831.
