Two new businesses in Jewett celebrate grand opening

Lori Rhoden, Bridgett Schmidt and Kimberly Becker are looking forward to working together in Bridgett’s Salon. Not pictured is Andrena Foster. Sherry’s Shots Saturday, August 8, was a good day for Jewett businesses because two new beauty salons celebrated a grand opening.

Guys and Dolls, owned by Erika Gonzalez of Jewett, is excited to offer hair styles for both men and women. Erika is married to Adolfo Gonzalez and has two boys, Ruben , 7, and Tito (5). Both children attend Leon Elementary School.

Working with Erika is Lyly Ramerez also of Jewett. Shop hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00 to 6:00; Saturday 8:30 to 12; and Sunday 4:00 to 6:30.

Bridgett’s Salon is owned by Bridgett Schmidt, from Jewett and originally from Buffalo. Working with Bridgett is Andrena Foster, from Buffalo who is also a hair stylist. Lori Rhoden has cute items in her children boutique, inside Bridgett’s shop, and Kimberly Becker does facials and sells skin care products.

Lyly Ramerez works on Lidia Ramerez’ hair do while Erika Gonzalez makes Geraldine Sanders look even more beautiful. Sherry’s Shots Bridgett’s Salon hours are Tuesday through Friday 9 to 6:00 and Saturday by appointment.
