North Creek Baptist Church
Tom Nolen
We had good attendance today and the pastor was really happy to see them that way. The business meeting was well attended and everyone was really in a good mood. Brother Jim Bridges visited as he was on a leave from the hospital at Temple. Details were given on the recent sale of tho old parsonage on Highway 7. The buyers are moved in and happy with a house having enough rooms to take care of their family of six children. The nominating committee gave their report and the congregation voted to accept the persons as they were last year. There were no changes noted. God has been good and North Creek has been blessed with all jobs, if not filled, at least someone is doing the job at least temporarily. More help is needed in AWANA classes as more directors and assistants can always be used. I remain church reporter for another year so you are stuck with me.
The pantry served 106 families having a total of 318 persons in the families. We could use more help in going to Tyler to get the food from the East Texas Food Bank. We go on most Tuesdays and are back by 1:00 pm . The trip is good for fellowship and fun. Try it sometime, you’ll like it.
If you are not a Christian the time is drawing near when you will have to make up your mind. The end times are at hand. Most Christians ask “Are you ready?” If you are a Christian and not attending church regularly, then come to North Creek and someone will introduce you to the friendliest church in these woods.
“See ya there.”
