Bison Gold Machine Pitch Team takes Fourth in State
      The Bison Gold 8-U team took their A-Game to the State Machine Pitch Tournament in Rusk last week. The youngsters, coached by Dr. Russell Jonas and assisted by Tim McCloud, Travis Bynum and Craig Thompson, and “Team Granny” Ann Thompson, played well in Rusk.

High School athletes begin fall seasons
      The fall sports -- football, volleyball and cross country track -- fired up this week. UIL regulations allowed team practices to begin on Monday, August 3. BHS volleyball teams pracice began first thing that morning. Football practice began at 5:00 p.m.. Monday afternoon, and the players move into pads on the 7th. The Purple and Gold scrimmage is set for Saturday morning the 8th at 10 a.m.

BHS schedules due August 12th
      Buffalo High School will hand out fall schedules to students grades 9-12 on Wednesday, August 12, from 4-8 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Parents must accompany students in order to complete all paperwork. If students need schedule changes, they can meet with Miss Morris at this time. Schedule changes may be made until August 19.

      July 16 - WGA Aces was the game of the day for the ladies. The nine-hole ladies honors went to Betty VonBieberstein with a next 34. Second place went to Pat Mossman (35) and Gwen Johannessen (40) took third place. Betty had low putts with 15 and Pat Mossman made a chip-in on hole # 5.
