Ed Hennesey

Funeral services for Mr. Ed Hennesey, 70, will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at 10:00a.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church near Jewett. Bro. Ray Payne will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Sardis Cemetery.

Visitation will be held throughout the day on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hennesey passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009, in Tyler. He was born in Aguadulce, TX. to Allen and Vesta Lewis Hennesey. Mr. Hennesey was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country in the U.S. Marines, the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Air Force. He moved to Jewett in 1984 and worked as an electrician for many years in various jobs in the area. Mr. Hennesey was a Baptist by faith. He is survived by his wife of almost fifty years, Ida Nugent Hennesey of Jewett; one daughter, Eddana Jeanette Polston of Temple; four grandchildren, Nathan Polston, Joshua Ward, James Ritter, and Jordan Ritter; his mother, Vesta Hennesey of Goliad; two sisters, Shirlene Woods & husband Kenneth of Salt Lake City, Utah and Jean Ham of Goliad; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Hennesey was preceded in death by his father, Allen Richard Hennesey; two daughters, Patricia Sens and Christie Polston; two sons, Johnny Porter Ward and Allen Hennesey; and one grandson, Damon Parrish Ward.
