Hilltop Lakes Golf News

July 9 - The Men and Women of the Hilltop Golf Association got together and had a grand time playing a Scramble. The men provided Beer and BBQ and the ladies pitched in with Beverages and deserts. Everything was very good and everyone had a great time, despite the HOT weather. There were 4 players per team and we had 14 Teams. Seven teams placed and money was awarded to the winners. The winners were as follows: First Place - Randy Schiamara, Shirley Schiamara, Dale Ricknor and Clyde Dowell. They were tough to beat with a 54.10. Second place winners - Dennis Turner, Leonor Holland, Wallace Holland, and David Zipps with 57.35. Third place - Eric Wood, Nancy Keown, Terry Hinton, and Garlyn Person with 57.85. We had another team shoot 57.85, but lost due to the scorecard playoff. It took 5 holes to determine who would take 3rd place and who would get 4th place. Fourth place - Ron Gibson, Georgia Gibson, Jerry Beamon, and Gwen Johannessen. Fifth place - Greg Waller, Marcia Waller, Bennie Yoke and Byron Hudgens with 58.10. Sixth Place - Bill Recknor, Emmitt Herod, Debbie Miller and Carol Chausse with 58.20; and Seventh Place - Doug Sassman, Ginger O'Brien, Harold O'Brien, and Helen Prejean 58.35. Congratulations to all the winners!

Next Thursday, July 17, the women will have their Monthly meeting at 8:00 AM and tee off at 8:30am. Game of the day will be ACES. Sign up by noon on Wednesday.
