THE HERZOG FAMILY from Bremond and A TOUCH OF GRASS featuring DUSTY AND TRISH BREWER from Fairfield will entertain at the SHILOH COMMUNITY CENTER on Saturday, July 18 beginning at 6 p.m. Assorted salads, dessert and tea will be served at 7 p.m. Cost of the supper is $5.00 per person. At this time we will also have a cake auction and DOOR PRIZES. Proceeds from the evening will go toward upkeep and renovations to the building. Please make plans for the 18th of July for a most enjoyable program and meal for the entire family at the Shiloh Community Center (South of Mexia off Hwy. 39 at Shiloh Cemetery Cut-off).

Can you spell AARP ?

The next meeting of the Buffalo Chapter of AARP will be held Tuesday, July 21 at noon in the Buffalo Civic Center. Come early for fellowship, food and fun.

Roberta Delius is in charge of the July program and a Spelling Bee is planned. (You might want to be practicing on words like Waxahachie, Tehuacana, Kovacevich, Nacogdoches, Flo, etc!) We will also be celebrating July birthdays and anniversaries.

Help local cancer patients

On Thursday, July 30, at 6:30 p.m., Trixy Roy with the American Cancer Society will share information on volunteer opportunities in Leon County. The need is great and you could be the one to help save someone’s life.
