Buffalo Little Leaguers advance to district play
      Area Little League baseball teams have been competing very successfully in tournament action. MACHINE PITCH The Leon County Machine Pitch Tournament was held last week in Centerville. The Gold Bison team coached by Russell Jonas took first place by defeating the Purple Bison, coached by Tommy Davis. Both teams will advance to the District Tournament July 13-18, hosted by Buffalo.

Cheerleading Camp pumps up spirit
      Buffalo ISD’s high school and junior high cheerleaders for 2009-10 are ready to pump up some school spirit, following last week’s Cheerleader Camp led by National Cheerleaders Association staff members. The BJHS cheerleaders will be guided by faculty sponsor Debbie Read. BHS’ varsilty and junior varsity squads will be under the guidance of Jennifer Womack.
