Steelmans celebrate 59th anniversary with lodge installation

Ray and Mary Steelman today -- and the day they married fifty-nine years ago. Ray and Mary Steelman, residents of the Smith’s Crossing neighborhood since 1992, have plenty to celebrate this month. On Saturday, July 11th, Ray will be installed as the Worshipful Master at Buffalo’s Masonic Lodge #554. The next week, Ray and Mary will celebrate their 59th anniversary on July 19th. Asked what they will do to recognize that date, Mary said they have nothing big planned, but added, “As long as I’ve got him and keep him, I’m doing good -- and I’m GOING to keep him!”

The Steelmans enjoy their involvement with the Lodge, and are also active in Eastern Star where, in 2001- 2002 Mary served as Worthy Matron and Ray was Worthy Patron -- the highest offices in the organization. They also enjoy hitting the road in their triked-out Harley-Davidson Ultraglide.
