Ramblings from Centerville Healthcare Center And the winner is — Ann Ellis. Our big quilt fund raiser was a huge success, we thank all those who supported the Family Council in this endeavor. Also our thanks to Kennith who made and donated the quilt; as all you quilters out there know there is a great amount of time that goes into a project like this. To all those who purchased tickets we thank you! To those who sold tickets we are ever in your debt. It’s folks like you that make any fund raiser a success. Thanks Centerville for making this another great expression of your support of our facility. Saturday was, as you know, hot hot hot and we were out in it enjoying seeing all those who sat out in front yards and on street corners to watch as the parade drove by. I think this was the biggest parade in a long time, every entry was decked in red, white and blue tinsel, streamers and all those balloons. What fun was had by all. The candy was freely tossed and taken by little ones as well as adults. We had two five gallon buckets full and not nary a drop was to be had when it was over. Kelcie my little (two year old) great granddaughter enjoyed tossing candy and waving from the back of our little entry. Onward and upward to the next event, always we strive to be a part of what is going on in this our “Home Town”. That’s all for now; God Bless! |
