      Funeral services for Hattie Ray Benson, age 95, of Pearland and formerly of Centerville were held at 1 PM Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Centerville. Rev. Leroy Haynes officiated and burial was in Seale Cemetery in the Redland Community west of Centerville. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the services. Floyzell Murphy, Robert Brown, Darrell Dozer, Thomas Benson, Carl Gould and George Murphy served as pallbearers.

      Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Polk, age 84, of Teague and formerly of Leona were held at 1 PM, Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Two-Mile United Methodist Church east of Leona on FM 977. She was buried in the Two-Mile Paradise Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home in Centerville was in charge of all arrangements.
