Motorcycle accident kills Fairfield man

A 53-year-old Fairfield man, Ricky Ray Thompson, was killed Saturday night in a motorcycle accident. According to the DPS report, Thompson was traveling northbound on FM 488, six miles north of Fairfield at approximately 11:20 p.m., driving a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Thompson apparently failed to negotiate a left curve and ran off the east side of the road, over-corrected and rolled several times. He was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:11 a.m. Sunday by Freestone JP Debra Hamilton.
