Ramblings from Centerville Healthcare Center

by Brenda Rae, AD

Can you believe that summer is here, seems like it’s been here for several weeks. The weather has been hot as can be; guess we’re in for a long dry summer. Keep those air conditioners in top shape, try to do all you can during the cool of the morning. If you just have to be out in this heat drink lots of gator aid and water. Now on the news at hand.

This has been a fairly unhurried week, we’ve played bingo several times, put together puzzles, had church services a birthday party and Mr. Jones sang for us.

Not to shabby for a slow week; dont you think!

I have been out several days due to the illness of Amber my daughter, she was in the hospital in Mexia and of course her Mom had to stay with her. She’s better now at home with a restricted diet and hopefully she will continue to be good. While on the subject of being down our thoughts go out to Ms. Winnie, hope you are well and back with us soon. We missed your lovely voice Thursday afternoon at Bible Class.

We wish our Volunteer Nancy the best of luck on her new adventure, she will go live in a Retirement Community in Oklahoma soon, we will miss her very much.

Well, Fourth of July is just around the corner, we do so look forward to the Parade each year, our thanks to those who bring it around the block for us to see. We will have the drawing for our Quilt that afternoon, if you haven’t bought chances on it yet get a move on we need your help to make this fund raiser a success.

Until next week, God Bless all both great and small!
