The Centerville lodge is having their annual scholarship fundraiser Saturday, July 4th. They will be serving BBQ briskit and sausage plates from 10:30 til @ the lodge.

American Legion Post #335

Due to the 4th of July falling on the 1st Saturday, The American Legion Post #335 will hold our monthly meeting on Saturday July 11th at 9am. Note the early time as this will be for the July meeting only and we will hold our August meeting at our usual day & time.

Our meeting will be held at the Centerville municipal building located across from the Post Office. We would like to invite our members and their wives to attend. We will have coffee and donuts.

The American Legion will have a booth at the Centerville Funtier Days Cel- ebration; we will be selling raffle tickets for a 55 gallon Deer Feeder set up along with 200 pounds of deer corn. The tickets will be $5.00 each or 6 for $25.00 with the drawing to be held on Saturday evening at the High School just before the fireworks. We will also have patriotic Tshirts for sale; the proceeds will be to support our Post and our new building fund. We have also learned that our Adopt-A-Unit from Fort Hood will be returning from Iraq in July. They are scheduled to arrive between July 10th and the 13th. Our Post will have members on hand to welcome home these brave men and women. Our American Legion Post has adopted the A-Battery 1st Battalion 21st Field Artillery of the 41st Fires Brigade and we have provided them with care packages and support and we welcome them home.

We would also like to wish our Post Commander Leo Renaud a speedy recovery as well as our Chaplain Jim Bridges who is in the VA Hospital in Temple. We ask that you all please keep them in your thoughts & prayers.

The American Legion is open to all Veterans; if you are a military veteran you are welcome to attend our meeting.
