Iris Bonita Starr

Iris Bonita Starr, age 62, of Buffalo passed away at her home on June 19th. She was born in Buffalo on November 6, 1946. Her parents were John T. Neal and Ethel Anita (Shive) Neal. Iris grew up in Ft. Worth. Later, her parents moved back to Buffalo and Iris moved back to Buffalo in 1976.

Iris had attended the Upper Room Church. She was a homemaker and, later, a caregiver for home health care. She loved to play games and enjoyed getting together with family and friends. She was a terrific cook. Iris was preceded in death by her parents and by a daughter, Niki LeAn Carlton Pate.

Surviving family includes her son, John Scott “Scotty” Carlton of Buffalo, a special daughter, Minka Trainham, a sister and brother in-law, Janie and John Williams of Houston and two granddaughters, Kaylee Alissa Carlton of Buffalo and Pamela Nicole Hardy of Tyler.

Private memorial services for Iris Starr will be held at a later date.
