Frances A. Tyler
Graveside services for Frances A. Tyler, 94, will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009, at 1:00p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston. Mrs. Tyler passed away on Monday, June 15, 2009, in Manassas, Virginia.
She was born to John Clark and Elfleda Sallee Sinclair in North Litchfield, Illinois on August 20, 1914. She lived in Houston for many years and owned her own sewing business where she sold yarn and taught knitting and crocheting. Mrs. Tyler was also a beauty shop owner for many years and operated a doll hospital. She moved to Teague in the mid-1980’s and continued to work from her home as well as enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband. Mrs. Tyler was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Teague and the Teague Senior Citizens Center until her health failed. She had lived in Virgina to be near her son for the past six years. She is survived by one son, David Tyler of Fairfax, Virginia; four cousins, Aline Jones & husband Walter of Houston, Susan Helmcamp & husband Gary of Buffalo, Scott Mouton & wife Millie of Buffalo, and Roy Mouton of Houston. Mrs. Tyler was preceded in death by her husband, Reed Tyler.
