Donald “Sonny” Ray High

Donald “Sonny” Ray High ,73, was born on September 24, 1935, in Grandfield, Oklahoma, to John Chester “Dick” and Frances Beatrice (Wilson) High.

Donald served in the Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 1155 of Pasadena, TX. Many will remember Donald being the owner of "High's" Garage in Pasadena, TX., from 1948 until his retirement in 2000.

Donald went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in Buffalo, TX.

Donald is preceded in death by his father, J.C. High, his mother, Frances Beatrice High, his brother, Thomas High, his sister, Marilyn Peterson, his father-in-law Lauder McNair, his brotherin law, Slim Kittle, his sisterin law, Nina Williams, his sister-in-law Nancy Anthony, his brother-in-law, Roger Anthony, and his sister-in-law, Becky Armstrong.

Donald is survived by his wife, Sue McNair High, the love of his life of 53 years, 4 months, and 11 days, both of Buffalo, TX. He has three children, Johnny Mc- Daniel and wife Joy of Clear Lake, TX, Joyce Burgess and husband Roy of Boerne, TX., and Karen High and Aaron Farrill of Pasadena, TX. He has four grandchildren, Margo Murillo of San Antonio, TX, Ashley Meyer of Denton, TX., Kirby McNair of Buffalo, TX., and Lacey Burgess of Boerne, TX. His three great grandchildren, Julio, Alicia, and Simeon Murillo of San Antonio, TX., mother in-law, Jean McNair of Pasadena, TX., sister-in-law, Patsy High of Houston, TX., and a brother-in-law, Archie Peterson of Clear Lake, TX., sister-in-law, Voncile Kittle of Boaz, AL., sister-in-law, Evelyn Newcomb and husband Donald of New Caney, TX., sister-in-law, Frances Gardner and husband Ed of Houston, TX., brother-in-law, Watson McNair of Pasadena, TX., brother-in-law, Darrell McNair of Buffalo, TX., sister-in-law, Debra Jones of Friendswood, TX., sister-inlaw, Belinda McNair of Deer Park, TX., and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration Honoring Donald’s life is being planned for a future date.
