Donald “Sonny” Ray High ,73, was born on September 24, 1935, in Grandfield, Oklahoma, to John Chester “Dick” and Frances Beatrice (Wilson) High. Donald served in the Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 1155 of Pasadena, TX. Many will remember Donald being the owner of "High's" Garage in Pasadena, TX., from 1948 until his retirement in 2000. Funeral services for Guindola Harris Houston, age 78, of Crockett and formerly from Centerville were held at 10 AM, Tuesday morning, June 16th at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Rev. John Goss, pastor of the Central Baptist Church in Crockett, officiated and the interment followed in the North Creek Cemetery in rural northeast Leon County. Visitation was held at 2 PM until 8 PM on Monday, June 15th and the family was present to receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM. More ...
