NORTH CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH Father’s day is here and all the rush that goes with it. Youth day will be here on the 29th and will be “Cinderella Day” go figure. Jim Bridges is better in the hospital at Temple and sends all of his love to all. He is ready to come home. The news from the Middle East tells us that our time draws short but now is the time of salvation. Let us all be ready to respond in the twinkling of an eye when the great shout comes and the dead in Christ shall rise first then the saints who live on. If you are ready for that day then we could use some help at the pantry especially if you can donate to the pantry fund. The prices have risen but the donations have not kept up with them. We had lots of visitors in church today and were glad to see them. The house was nearly packed. I hear rumors that a certain couple in the church is making plans to visit Hawaii this summer and visit her sister who lives there have fun and be safe. If you have anything to donate to the Evans girls whose home burned down it may be given in the name of the church and will be deductible as a charitable donation. The parsonage on hwy 7 is about to be sold and then several other projects will be taken off the waiting list. That is good in that now progress will be forthcoming. If you are a Christian and you are not now attending a church regularly we cordially invite you to come to North Creek and get acquainted. We love to have visitors and we make them feel at home. If you are not now a Christian then we invite you to come and learn about your future and se if it is the one you desire. The choice is between eternal life in hades or ternal life in Heaven. Think about it. “See ya there.” |
