MENS COMPETITION

Hilltop Lakes golfers played a flighted Two-Man Scramble. Winners were:

FIRST FLIGHT: First Place - score of 62.5 - George Pawley and Ron Gibson Second - score of 64.85 - Gib Kizer and Roy Woods Third - score of 65.85 - Sam Saxton and Joe Oden

SECOND FLIGHT: First - score of 61.5 - Bob Tibbits and Hernando Porto Second - score of 63.70 - Larry Pennington and Terry Hinton Third - score of 67.70 - R.D. Kizer and Jim Ramsey

THIRD FLIGHT: First - score of 60.45 - Don Weldon and Don Madewell Second - score of 67.35 - Ter- ry Edwards and Doug Fields Third - score of 67.40 - Bennie Yohe and David Zipps

Taking the Closest to Pin honors on the course’s Par Threes were:
#3 - Larry White
#7 - David Pruitt
#10 - Larry Pennington
#15 - Hernando Porto

LADIES COMPETITION

June 11 - Game of the Day for the 9-hole gals was "Throw out Worst". Eleven Players participated. Peg Parker took 1st Place with a 24, Lorna Webb took 2nd place with 25, and Betty Von Bieberstein took 3rd with 27. Lorna Webb had the Low Putts for the day (11 putts). Lorna Webb also had a Chip in on #11. Peg Parker had a Par on #10, Becca Neukom had pars on #10 and #15, Lorna Webb had a par on #11, Marcia Waller on #15, and Betty Von Bieberstein on #10 and #15. Next week's game for the 9-hole gals will be "ACES".

The 18-hole gals played "Best Ball of Two" and had Twelve players playing. First Place winners went to the team of Nancy Keown, Lorraine Guilford, and Carolyn Tibbitts with 128. Second Place winners went to Georgia Gibson, Joyce Perkins and Faye Weller with 130. Debbie Miller got closest to the pin on #3, #7 AND #10; Nancy Keown had closest to the pin on #15. The game for next week will be "ACES".
