The June Flea Market–hot and busy

Customers flocked to the eateries at the flea market on Saturday. Sherry’s Shots Customers flocked to the eateries at the flea market on Saturday. Sherry’s Shots Saturday, June 13 was hot, dry and breezy in Jewett, Texas, exactly what you would expect for this time of year in this part of the state. According to vendors this was the best-attended flea market in months, with the largest crowd at the eating places.

Michael and Allison Adams are from Thornton, Texas and have been shopping at the flea market for eighteen years. Their kids also like to look for bargains on this family day out.

Dee Dee Daughtery from Palestine has been selling clothes at the flea market for 17 ½ years. She specializes in kids clothes but also has a selection of adult garments.

Daughtery graduated from Westwood High School and has worked at the Walmart Distribution Center for 25 years. She is married to Richard and has one girl, Whitney, and one boy, Richard, Jr.
