Basketball and volleyball camps are being offered at Buffalo this summer. This is a great opportunity for your child to work on fundamental skills and team play, hang out with friends and get some exercise in an air-conditioned environment.

Basketball camp is set for Monday-Thursday, June 8-11 from 8:30-12. Girls and boys who have finished kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible to attend. Campers will be divided into age and gender groups for competition, but will work on some skills together. The cost is $40 and includes a camp t-shirt and basketball. Daily prizes will be awarded.

Volleyball camp is scheduled for Monday- Thursday, July 20-23. There are three options available. Option 1 is a skills camp for students entering 7th and 8th grade. The cost is $35 and includes a ball and a camp t-shirt. Camp will run from 8-11 at Buffalo Junior High Gym. Option 2 is a setter camp and will run from 11-12:30 at the high school gym. The cost combined with Option 1 or Option 3 is $10. If a camper wants to attend only Option 2, the cost is $25 and includes a tshirt.

This camp is for volleyball players entering 9th-12th grades and will run from 8-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.. The cost is $50 for Option 3 or $60 if combined with Option 2. Since U.I.L. rules prohibit local coaches from working with athletes at camp during the summer, Coach Chelsea Morris Pattison from TAMU-Commerce will head up our high school camp. She is finishing up her Master's degree this summer. Chelsea was a four sport, four-year varsity athlete while in high school, and competed at the college level in track.

On-site registration will begin thirty minutes before the first day of camp. If you have any questions, call (903) 388- 8033.
