A Scrappin' Good Time

The first 2009 Kids Kamp for Texas AgriLife Extension Service was held on June 1, 2009. Twenty youth learned scrapbooking skills as Ms. Gayle Ray provided the instruction and demonstrations on scrapbooking. Assisting her was Mrs. Carolyn Ferguson and Mrs. Martha Hocutt, Kayla Ray and Cassie Ferguson. Mrs. Ray taught the youth all kinds of facts about scrapbooking including the importance of it, creative styles, and the equipment used. She also had triv- ia questions with door prizes to help keep them listening and learning while still having fun. The youth left with two pages to start a scrapbook with, some fun prizes and a lot of smiles! A special thanks to Kayla's Kroppin' Korner for sponsoring this event.

Extension programs serve of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religion, disability, or national origin. The Texas A&M University System, U.S. Department of Agriculture.
