The first 2009 Kids Kamp for Texas AgriLife Extension Service was held on June 1, 2009. Twenty youth learned scrapbooking skills as Ms. Gayle Ray provided the instruction and demonstrations on scrapbooking. Assisting her was Mrs. Carolyn Ferguson and Mrs. Martha Hocutt, Kayla Ray and Cassie Ferguson. Mrs. More ... Buffalo's Carolyn Williams has a passion for helping young children get off to a good start. During the school year she serves as the local home-based teacher for Headstart in our area, and she has also been a foster mother. Each summer for the past four years, that passion has taken her far, far from home. More ... This week coming up will be the beginning of the "boomerang express." The kangaroos are ready and the bush men are in place waiting for the kids to come and learn about the savior (Jesus). Who can save them from a life of not knowing what's ahead. The Koalas are in the trees watching everyone to see if all are being good. More ... RELAY FOR LIFE Friday! The Leon County 4H Club will be hosting the last Open Playday of the year.
