Tom Whyte
There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Harriman Park pavillon for Tom Whyte. Tom Whyte, 58, affectionately known as "Mr Nickel", passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009. Tom was the owner of Buffalo Nickel Furniture Store from 1997 until 2006. He worked for Flo Water Supply and was presently working for Glick Automotive Enterprises. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas and served in the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his mother, Fran Whyte of Tyler, Texas.
Tom is survived by his wife - Suzie; son Dusty Tillery and wife Tomoko of Yokosuko, Japan; son Jeremy Whyte and wife Amy of Jewett, Texas; father Vernon Whyte and wife Shirley of Quitman, Texas; sister Nancy Croson and husband Mike of Tyler, Texas; sister Becca Hicks and husband Jim of Nacogdoches; sister Alison Frank and husband Greg of Killeen; mother-inlaw Mary Williams of Tyler, Texas; brother-in-law Billy Williams and wife Mary of Tyler, Texas. Tom also has four grandchildren: Logan York of Humble, Texas; Gage Whyte of Normangee, Texas; Kyleigh Deborde of Jewett, Texas and Gavin Whyte of Jewett, Texas. Tom is survived by 1 aunt, nephews, great-nephews and many cousins.
This will be a service to honor and celebrate the life of a man that was known and loved by many. There will be testaments from family and friends whose life was touched by Tom. You are welcome to join and pay tribute to Tom and his family.
