See story page 5A. photo by Mac Shadix The third Open Mic Night at The Horses Mouth in Buffalo held Friday night May, 15 was a rousing success. The floor of the café was cleared of tables, opening up a little more room where it was much easier to get around. Many of the younger customers were busy with Prom and school-related activities and the crowd of attendees and the number of performers was a little smaller, but there were still between forty and sixty persons in attendance.

A highlight of the evening was the kind of event that happens so often at The Horses Mouth. A motorist passing through Buffalo, Ashley Sheridan, stopped to get coffee and wound up playing a set including an original song. The crowd seemed to love her song about how she liked chocolate better that various boy friends. She reveled that she had a MySpace site, Ashleysheridanmusic. com and left with many invitations to return and play again.
