Ralph Billings Sheriff's Report Number 436- Electricity out at the barn where Doctor Chopper is kept. Teague 13 year old not wanting to go home. FEMS and Fairfield VFD to Fair Grounds, 12 year old with badly broken leg. DPS Putz to Old 75, vehicle hydroplaned through fence at Feed Store. TxDOT to limbs laying in middle of 75. Dog chained in back of truck, Teague, chain a little too short….Okay, they got him back in.
Deputy Shipley to FCR- 1239 where young man walked into a house, being held at gunpoint as an intruder….. When Shipley got there, it had all changed….. He HAD been invited over by another at the residence. Fairfield Lady finds bees swarmed on pole…..What can be done?.....Leave 'em alone, they'll find a home!
Commissioner Ridge advised of call we received at Dispatch, big tree blocking FCR-1000. 911 advises need DPS at Love's, somebody just came in advising had been involved in another 4-Wheeler accident, inebriated, sent to ER. Not a good choice of locomotion to have a wreck on when sober….. most certainly not when drinking. Lady reports son is trying to break into her car on MLK, TPD Howard to same. Unknown party knocking on door, FCR- 930, then running.
Deputy Robert Elom arrests man on FCR-1211, Assault Family Violence. Also to possible prowler, FCR- 867. FPD Tiner jails man found wanted by Glenda Bass, FM-488, Brown County Warrant.Pit Bull reported killing a cat on Spruce, TPD Sykora to same. Well, what Sykora found told a different story…..One Pit Bull, massive and muscled…..with his favorite Teddy Bear! Pit Bull turned over to owner.
Fairfield VFD to sparks flying in the Air Conditioner closet, FCR-236. Two teens reported beating another on Bond Street, FPD to same. Dep. Shaw to two houses burglarized, two neighboring places, Lanely. Deputies to Hemale/Shemale Troubles on US-84, been fighting all night. More Family Troubles, FCR-540. Deputy Aultman to Yolanda's in Donie, broken into, soda pop, cigarettes and candy gone.
Deputies to N. Bateman on report of Trespassers. Dep. James Barrentine arrests man on Limestone County Warrant. Teague Officers to report of fight at Pine and S. 6th. Caller advises woman atop bridge, FM-488 by Big Lake bridge, pants down, answering nature's call. 911 Bounce tells of house on fire, Dawson, Navarro County contacted. Dep. Aldrich books young man into Jail on County and District Court Warrants.
THDEMS to FM-2570, man ill, running fever, chills and weak. Homeless man found behind Brookshire Bros., won't leave, trying to sleep. DPS Putz to accident, Mile 200. Deputy Shipley to Cowboy Church, front gate damaged. Greyhound Bus Driver 911's, has a very drunk man on the bus….. He was correct 100%....Very Drunk….Deputies furnished lodging at the Courthouse Square…..Their Motto?.... Leave the driving to us! Oh, by the way…..Happy Birthday, Clyde Allen, Dew, Texas, Happy Birthday! How were the fish?
16 year old in Teague refusing to go to school, TPD Solly to same…..to school. Truck driver on IH-45 strikes unattended vehicle on IH-45, but does not feel same. When arrives at Crossroads Store on US-84 sees damage, calls and reports he hit something somewhere. The struck vehicle located by Dep. Harrison. It had been hot-wired, driven and abandoned prior to being struck, found to have been stolen out of Corsicana without owner's knowledge.
Deputy Barrentine arrests man on two counts of Burglary, two counts of forged checks. TPD Reed, Howard and Sykora arrest man on J.A. Brooks on Warrant. Complaint of 4-Wheelers, FCR-991. Deputies, DPS and TPD to report of brawl on Walnut, Donie, one to hospital, one to Jail. Big, black dog chasing kids on bicycle, 6th and Maple. Dep. House to report of stolen TV. FEMS to FM-2570, worker fell, compound fracture. Dep. Taylor to reported missing items from rental house, FM-80.
Owner catches two in car, FM-3059, stealing several chains and boomers from oilfield site, they flee by vehicle,
run down, caught, carried to Jail by Deputies Willis, Aldrich and Robertson. His drunken passenger also incarcerated. Deputy Robertson to/from Dallas County, prisoner transport. FEMS to thyroid troubles, FCR-1270, chest pains, FCR-941. TPDS Solly arrests motorist on Webb, Wichita Falls Warrant.
Deputies to FM-27 on suspected burglary of abandoned house…..Nope, just folks interested in possibly buying the place. Wortham VFD to N. Ave. C, Lady fell. To Training Center for night time training. When this ended had a report of man in Church of Christ, Teague, broke window, still believed inside. Well, Fortune smiled. This was one time when we had enough manpower, all very close, to respond, join with TPD Officers, surround and block every window and door. Upon entry with dog….. Located and Arrested. Now in Jail for Burglary.
Deputies to Big Lake, checking on welfare of residents on Shadow Oaks, at request of Garland PD. Deputies and DPS to another 4-Wheeler wreck, FCR-841. FEMS to Mockingbird, man throwing up blood all day. TPD Sykora arrests motorist on Maple, Marijuana and Hydrocodone Possession.
Bumped into one of our Dallas County readers at local restaurant, Attorney William Haston…..He and his mother both readers on pretty regular basis it sounded like. TPD Reed arrests female, Assault Family Violence, US-84, Teague. Large cow in middle of FM-488. Teague VFD, Fairfield VFD and THDEMS to house fully engulfed in flames, Hwy. 179. FPD and Deputies dealing with allegation that wallet stolen, thrown out.
Suspicious pickup driving around after 10PM, FCR- 1250….Just looking for their lost pet cat, who has gone AWOL. Another loose cow, FM-488, Mr. Elom unable to locate her. He is very diligent, she either hopped back over the fence or ran into the trees. FEMS and Butler VFD to FCR-300, Lady reported as "real sick." Oil Field alerted to smell of gas, FCR-930.
Good Ol' Robert Elom, Deputy Sheriff Extrodinaire…. Out with a Lady stranded, Mile q 194, changing her flat tire. Thank You, Sir! One neighbor cutting down trees on FCR-980, falling on caller's fence….Whoever you send, needs to speak Spanish…..Okay, gotcha.
Friday a very busy day….Every kind of problem imaginable…..None of which had any simple answers. Deputy Aultman to Post Oak Cemetery, someone ran over the fence. Young man in Kirvin just had wisdom teeth removed this morning, keeps passing out, don't want an ambulance. Congratulations Shelley Baxter, Reecie Cannon, Tammy Sanders and others from our County upon receiving Bachelors and/or Masters Degrees from A&M Commerce. Felt good the next day didn't it, at long last, a little breather.
JP#4 to Death Inquest on S. Ave. C. Young Lady passes out at local Burger Place. Tools reported stolen off porch on Maple to TPD Solly. TxDOT to Mile 188, organ dropped off trailer, in middle of road. Bet that did not land with a happy note for the driver! DPS Burell and Adams to accident, Mile 184. TPD Noll to Freestone Apts., someone beating on walls. TPD Reed arrests drunk on Main Street.
THDEMS to possible broken ribs, FCR-867. Here is a new one…..Four water buffalo reported missing along the Navarro/Freestone County line. TPD Noll and Reed to break-in at THS Ag building and Junior High. Girlfriend ran out of gas headed toward Butler, calls Boyfriend, he starts that way…..Then he runs out of gas, too. Morton Salt….When It Rains It Pours!
Dep. Elom to theft of jewelry, FCR-797. FPD Green arrests motorist, Grimes County Warrant. Lover's Triangle gone awry in Southern Oaks, one threatening to kill another. Wortham VFD to small grass fire on Brazos. Deputies Elom and Mc- Clelland jail young man on Warrant after threatening to kill another. Another jailed, brought in from Maverick County. FEMS to Reunion, shoulder injury. Power out in Butler area. City Worker to sewer problems on N. Hall.
FEMS, Butler VFD, Fairfield VFD. DPS, Butler and Fairfield Firemen to truck/motorcycle accident, East 84. Bad Traffic Problems on FM-2570, Speeding, No Passing Zones, etc Nothing new, just a typical shut-down workover at the Power Plant. Most who come into the County temporarily and work the shutdowns are good, lawabiding folks. There is just always a small percentage who are knuckleheads and drive like maniacs.
