Hilltop Lakes Women's Golf News
      On May 7 HTL hosted their President's Cup Two Day event and the 9-Hole Gals had eight players. Congratulations to the 1st Place winner Peg Parker shooting 68; 2nd place Jo An Henry with a 73; AND there was a 3-way tie for 3rd place between Becca Neukom, Dorothy Green and Billie Tatom. A scorecard playoff resulted in Becca Neukom taking 3rd place with 76.

Hilltop Lakes Men's Golf News
      The Hilltop Lake men participated in tournament play on May 6th. The First Place foursome was R.D. Kizer, Larry Pennington, Vernon Von Bieberstein, and Mark Perkins. Second place went to the team of Gary O'Neal, Bill Fathke, Billy Rowe, and Rick Shuff. In third place was the team of Don Weldon, Terry Edwards, Joe Oden, and Doug Field.

Regional qualifiers participate in match race in training for meet
      The regional track meet may have been postponed, but BHS' milers found a unique way to push their training to a competitive level last week. The 400M Girls Relay team -- Desiree Worthy, Brooke Trahan, Kelsey Canady, and Kaila Grissett -- and miler Chad Nelson competed in a match race.

BHS student athletes recognized at All Sports Banquet
      Over two hundred people gathered at the Buffalo Civic Center Monday evening to celebrate the student athletes of Buffalo High School and their accomplishments during the 2008-09 school year. The crowd consisted of athletes, proud parents, coaches and BISD administrators. Exchange student Auri Taillens even had his grandparents from Switzerland present for the event.

Lady Bison end season with series loss to Kirbyville

      Last Wednesday, the U.I.L. removed their ban of school activities, and the Lady Bison quickly scheduled a bi-district series for Thursday and Friday.
