An estimated 2500 people streamed into Buffalo to enjoy free food, soft drinks and entertainment and nearly 700 of them took advantage of the discounts offered on many items.
Buffalo City Secretary Debbie Waters was the winner of the $2500 grand prize, but all who attended were winners from both the many prizes and food and entertainment and from the establishment of a major retail store in Old Town Buffalo that will provide jobs and tax revenue for the City of Buffalo.
By noon, visitors had devoured 'fixings' including two hogs and 50 pounds of popcorn. Some attendees were looking for a place to dance to the music of The Old Country Band that added to the festive occasion.
Tom Davis acknowledged the "tremendous help from the community," with perhaps 50 volunteers helping in many ways make the day a roaring success.
